Infrared Sauna

Infrared sauna heats you with a powerful antioxidant boosting light that has healing benefits and penetrates deep into the body and core. A traditional sauna combines the use of heat and humidity to raise your body temperature, whereas an Infrared Sauna uses infrared wavelengths for deep muscle penetration. Our Sauna contains 3 different infrared wavelengths – far, mid and near – allowing for detoxification on a cellular level. Infrared Saunas are great for rejuvenating your muscles and cells, and improves your skin through increasing protein synthesis.
You do not need to bring anything to your sauna session. We provide you with towels, water and a shower facility. Swimwear is optional, and can be brought along if that is your preference. Our sauna is in a private room, so you will have the space to yourself for the duration of your session.
Infrared Sauna use is not recommended for people who are pregnant, those who cannot handle extreme temperatures, people with haemophilia, fever, an insensitivity to heat and those who are under the influence of alcohol. Children under the age of 12 will need parental consent and will need to consult with our manager before being booked in or using the facility.
Our sauna can fit a maximum of 3 people in one session. Pricing for the sauna session will depend on the number of clients using the space.
No it does not need to be hot, as the Infrared Sauna utilises infrared wavelengths to detox your body, the heat does not affect the penetration of these wavelengths. Infrared is a powerful antioxidant boosting light and will raise your core body temperature, which is necessary to assist with the documented wellness outcomes. It is optimal at lower temperatures than traditional saunas, however you are welcome to adjust the temperature according to your personal preference. Our sauna has a maximum temperature of 75ºC, and is always set to 60ºC before any session.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

You do not require any particular clothing whilst in the AirPod. You will be lying down, so we recommend something comfortable. The high atmospheric pressure is absorbed through your breathing and skin whilst in the chamber, so regardless of your clothing you will receive the same benefits.
Oxygen Therapy increases the oxygenation in the body by 35% for the next 24 hours, with the benefits lasting up to a week. As with most treatments, you should do them regularly to receive long-term benefits.
You can take anything into the AirPod with you, so long as it fits inside the chamber. We don’t use Oxygen Cylinders so it is completely safe. Most of our clients bring along a book or some headphones to relax throughout the duration of their treatment.
Hyperbaric Chamber just basically means a sealed chamber in which a high pressure environment is used, like our OxygenTherapy AirPod and most other chambers out there. The only difference from our wellness type machine to the medical grade machines (used in hospitals) would be that the medical grade uses 100% oxygen from a cylinder – which needs a doctor’s supervision as it can be dangerous. At a certain atmospheric pressure, 1.35AT, both machines would do the same thing and give the same benefits. However medical grade chambers have the ability to go much higher which is not necessary in most cases, and can have side effects whereas ours does not.
For some people they do find the space to be claustrophobic. However, the door which seals you in is clear and you can see out into the room. If you are someone who experiences feelings of claustrophobia, we will try opening and closing the chamber to see how you feel before starting the treatment. Our staff will stay present and ensure you are comfortable before doing any of our treatments, and if at any point you would like to stop the treatment we will do so.

Localised Cryotherapy

Localised Cryotherapy utilises the same science of the Whole Body Cryotherapy. It is exposure to extremely cold temperature from nitrogen vapour, and the localised therapy allows this cold to be applied to a specific area of the body. It is great for injuries to reduce inflammation and help cell repair and damaged tissues, like a more powerful version of ice packing. It is also great for the face when administered as a cryotherapy facial. The treatment helps remove dead skin cells, tightens the skin and improves collagen production. It is also really effective at combating inflammation associated with skin conditions such as eczema and rosacea.
For injuries we recommend the treatment 2-4 times a week until the injury has healed, with a follow up session once a week to prevent further damage. For skin conditions we also recommend 2-4 times a week. With the cryotherapy facial, it’s best to have this treatment 1-2 times a week. In most cases, after 5 sessions you will see results. These treatments are safe to be done daily, although we always recommend seeing how you go and what works best for you.

During a Cryo facial, the intense cold causes your blood vessels to contract and your pores to tighten, which is a similar but more intense version of what happens when you rub ice on your face. Once your skin returns to its normal temperature, the blood vessels dilate quickly.

This causes an increase in the flow of blood and oxygen to the face, which can make skin glowy and more vibrant, and may also cause your lips to look more plump. The rush of blood and oxygen can also make the face look less swollen and more taut.

Local cryotherapy is great at targeting a specific area for 10-15 minutes, similar to ice packing, however a lot more efficient as it is able to get deep into the area completely to where it rejuvenates cells, reduces swelling and inflammation and activates muscle tissue repair. If you have multiple body parts that you are experiencing issues with then Whole Body Cryo may be better at getting your body in for 3 minutes to reduce pain and inflammation in those areas. Both treatments can be combined and work well together with targeting injuries.

Remedial massage is ideal for anyone who is experiencing muscle pain. For example shoulder pains, lower back aches, or headaches. Our massage therapist will cater each treatment specifically to your individual needs and concerns.

The most significant difference between remedial and lymphatic drainage massage is the amount of pressure used. In remedial massage, a higher pressure is used to release muscle pain, in combination with other remedial techniques.

Lymphatic drainage is a very lightly pressured treatment. It is ideal for those wanting to prepare their body before surgery, or as a post surgery treatment to detox lymph nodes and speed up recovery time. Lymphatic massage is also a good option for those in their weightloss journey, or wanting to remove toxins from the body.

For remedial massage, if you are experiencing muscle pain in a specific area of the body a 60 min massage is recommended. Our therapist will use the time to concentrate on this area for the duration of the treatment. If you are experiencing pain in more areas of your body, 90mins is recommended, as this gives our therapist a longer time period to cover all areas.

Similarly with lymphatic drainage, the 90 min time slot will allow for your whole body to be treated. In most cases, 60mins is not enough to treat the whole body.

The relaxation massage is a smooth, gentle treatment that relieves muscular tension, increases circulation, and promotes a general sense of relaxation. This is ideal for anyone wanting to relieve stress and enjoy a moment of tranquillity.
The reflexology massage is generally relaxing and may help alleviate stress. The theory behind reflexology is that areas of the hands and feet correspond to organs and systems of the body. Pressure applied to the foot or hand is believed to bring relaxation and healing to the corresponding area of the body.

Normatec Recovery

It is fine to do any time. When done pre workout, the increased flow of blood to your muscles aids with performance. It is also great post workout to relieve aches, remove inflammation, toxins and improve recovery.
The pants use air pressure to massage and relieve muscle aches and pain, and temporarily increase circulation in the legs. This is amazing for draining the lymphatic system and removing metabolic waste, which is why it is a current and recommended form of recovery for many leading athletes, trainers and fitness enthusiasts around the world.
Normatec Recovery has a specialised system to remove waste, fluid and toxins from your body, as well as improving circulation and muscle recovery. The main difference between the two is that NormaTec is specifically for your legs and feet, where a lymphatic massage concentrates on the lymphatic system throughout your body. As well as this, the duration of NormaTec can be shorter, which makes it easy for people on the go. Both treatments focus on removing waste from your body, it is a matter of personal preference.
It assists in recovery and getting back to normal, faster, with customers feeling the effects almost instantly. After a heavy lower-body lifting session, throwing on the NormaTec for 30 can make a big difference in your recovery and performance.
Yes it can be used daily.

Both ice baths and Cryotherapy use extreme cold temperatures, however Cryotherapy is easier on your skin and the duration of the treatment is much shorter. Our Whole Body Cryotherapy releases a vapour from a liquid nitrogen tank at -170ºC, with the duration of exposure being 3 minutes total. Only 3 minutes in our Whole Body Cryotherapy tank is required to receive the same benefits as a 30 minute ice bath.
The nitrogen that freezes comes out like a vapour and it is dry and doesn’t burn or harm the skin. A 3 minute session is safe and all you need according to research. Going past the 5 minute mark is where you can do some damage to the body however we only allow 3 minutes.
While the vapour released from the Cryotherapy machine is an extremely low temperature, it is not harmful to the skin. You will only be exposed to this temperature for 3 minutes, which is the maximum time frame possible at such a low temperature. Although it is quite cold through the treatment, your core temperature will rise afterwards.
You don’t need to bring anything to the cryotherapy session. The clothes you are wearing will be fine. We provide you with a robe, socks and gloves and there are change rooms for your convenience. If you are wearing a bra with an underwire, you will have to remove it and any jewellery you may have on as the metal may burn your skin. If you have any body piercings you will be provided with a bandaid to cover the area to protect the metal from getting too cold.
The most common side effects of any type of cryotherapy are numbness, tingling, redness, and irritation of the skin. These side effects are almost always temporary, and usually only last for a short period after the treatment. Make an appointment with your doctor if they don’t resolve within 24 hours.

Both treatments have been very popular and there are risks of burning to the skin. The risks are extremely low and we have never had any issues. You can at any time opt to stop during the treatment if you feel any pain at all. Other side effects would be redness to the skin for a short period of time, tingly sensation throughout the body and fluctuation in blood pressure during treatment (Whole Body Cryotherapy) which should reverse by the end of the treatment.

The localised cryotherapy treatment includes a laser on the device to measure your skin temperature as a safety precaution to prevent burns. However we must notify all clients of the potential for burning even though the chance of it happening is low.

IV Infusions

You do not need a referral from a doctor for our infusions. We only require a referral from a doctor if you are wanting to receive a higher dose of Vitamin C (more than 15g), in which we also require a G6PD blood test and a kidney function test before your appointment with us.

We do not require a blood test for our infusions unless you are wanting to receive a higher dose of Vitamin C (a G6PD blood test and kidney function test is required).

Unfortunately as of recently, we have come to the conclusion that IV Vitamin Infusions may not be suitable for pregnant women. This is due to a lack of safety data regarding the effects of high doses of vitamins and micronutrients on unborn babies and infants. We can offer the ‘Hydrate Me’ infusion which does not contain any vitamins but is 1L of Hydrating fluid with electrolytes and minerals, that is great at helping you feel fresh again!
